A little about Our Founder

My name is Joshua Peters, and I am the founder of GiveBack Backpacks. Growing up in Nigeria, I experienced the struggles many students faced, lacking basic school supplies and the technology necessary for success. I felt a deep desire to make a difference. GiveBack Backpacks was born out of this mission to provide students with the tools they need not only to learn but to thrive in a rapidly changing world. This cause is deeply personal to me, and I am dedicated to empowering my peers and creating opportunities for every child to reach their full potential.

My journey into philanthropy was significantly shaped when I became one of the top three fundraisers in my state for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), personally raising over $50,000. This experience opened my eyes to the incredible impact that effective fundraising can have and sparked a deep passion for community service. Witnessing the tangible results of my efforts solidified my belief in the power of dedicated support to create meaningful change. Inspired by this newfound purpose, I launched GiveBack Backpacks to address the urgent need for educational tools and technology in my community.

My mission is to ensure that every student has access to the resources they need to excel in an increasingly digital world. This cause is close to my heart, and through GiveBack Backpacks, I am committed to bridging the educational divide and equipping students with the tools to build a brighter, more promising future.
